Here we go again, another sick, twisted pathetic excuse for human tissue opens fire on a classroom full young adults, defenseless to do anything to protect themselves. Did we not learn one damn thing from the Va. Tech. massacre???? Its no secret that these murdering pieces of human garbage are not stupid, they know that the best place to carry out their act of terror is to go where the odds of someone shooting back hover around zero.
Illinois is typical of our most liberal states in that they do not ( to the best of my knowlege) allow concealed carry by law abiding citizens. Hell, its illegal to even own a handgun in Chicago, and we can clearly see that has stopped all the violent crime there now, hasn’t it? Illinois is one of only 10 states that refuse to grant reciprocity to those from other states with Concealed Carry Permits.
The fact is, even in states where concealed carry is allowed, most ban it on college campuses, or at least in classrooms and dorms. Even after Va. Tech. we did not learn that perhaps such laws are actually making our kids vulnerable to these psychopathic killers. In one account of this most recent attack, a student described the POS calmly reloading. Now that is precisely when someone should have dropped his sorry ass right there on the spot. All it takes is1 person to stand their ground. 1 Person to refuse to be a victim.
But no, our liberal do good bureaucrats, in creating this social utopia, cannot fathom that a gun in the right hands will SAVE LIVES! Ok, if disarming is so good, name me one place that an unarmed citizenry is safer. Safer from street thugs and nut cases. Safer from govt. Safer from terrorists. You can’t, because they do not exist.
There are indeed places with lower crime rates. But that is a societal issue, and the presence or absense of an armed populous is irrelevent. Australia tried banning, and violent crime went through the roof after the govt confiscated “all” the guns. Ditto Great Britain.
Recently a demonstration was held on campuses across the country. Folowing the VT massacre, students who wanted the right to carry at school staged a “Empty Holster Day” where they wore, open to see, empty holsters to school. This signified the number of students who would, if allowed, been able to at least attempt to stop one of these murderous rampages. Oh, cry the libs, we can’t have drunken colege kids carrying guns!!!There are literally hundreds of rsponsible college students on campuses across America every day. One student who wore his empty holster was a 23 yr. old former US Marine, who served in the Middle East. There are hundreds more just like him on campuses everywhere. He can carry when he is off campus, but not at school. How far do you think this latest POS would have gotten if a couple of former military students were armed and in class? I’ll guess 4-5 feet- straight down!
“Oh, but the police will do it”- cries the pacifist liberal. Yeah, thats working out pretty good so far, isnt it? In the NIU shooting, the response of law enforcement was outstanding, within minutes. Too late, it was over before they could even get there. In this kind of situation, we need RIGHT NOW, not IN A FEW MINUTES. Cops in the classroom? Not likely, too expensive, and they would be a first choice target. If you doubt that, re-read the story of the Missouri city council shooting- 2 cops got killed as well.
It scares me that our govt. will readily admit they cannot or will not guarantee our safety, yet refuse to allow us to take on the responsibility ourselves. Anyone can be trained in defense tactics and discriminate firearms use. Let those of us who choose to be proactive in defending ourselves do so, and maybe the next time one of these pieces of excrement pops up, they will be dead before they can kill so many innocent lives.
One final note, I see our new media has not learned, they plaster the story, and the killers name all over the TV for days afterwards. THAT IS WHAT THESE ASSHOLES FEED ON. They want to go out with a flash of glory, and the media keeps giving it to them.
May God bless and comfort those who are victims in this senseless rampage, and comfort the families left behind. And may the murdering piece of garbage rot in eternal hell for his actions.
Great Post. If I remember correctly, didn’t home invasions in Australia go up over 10 times in the first year of their gun ban? Amazing how brazen criminals get when there is no fear of reprisal.
